MORGAN NEWS!!

Morgan McPherson just returned from Nashville, TN, where she worked on tracks for her new EP alongside Ron May (bassist) and Strother Bullins (drummer). The 7-track EP will be titled "Destiny Save Me" and will highlight the hidden track from her first album "Stranger in the Mirror" and will also include new live-band recordings of 'Fragile Little Me', 'Ann-Jeanine', and 'Healed'. The new tracks on the EP will be a piano/vocal called 'Ravens & Doves' and full-band tracks 'What Magic Does,' and 'Monster in the Closet'. The EP was first intended to bridge Morgan's first album to her second album yet to be released, but now the focus is to use the EP to shop to major labels with the intention of securing a record deal. Morgan worked with producer/engineer Russ Long in recording the EP "Destiny Save Me." Russ long is based in Nashville and is mostly known for engineering Sixpence None The Richer's album with the well-known single 'Kiss Me.' He has also worked on the Newsboys album and the Squint record.

Morgan and her bandmates have produced a documentary of the Nashville trip taken August 9-11, 2009 and it is available for viewing on Youtube at www.youtube.com. Just search for "Morgan McPherson Nashville." The documentary is in several parts and they are labeled in order of occurrence. Please comment on your favorite video or video moment. Morgan will return to Nashville in November to lay down vocal tracks and finish production on the EP. Expect it to be available in early 2010.

From Morgan:

I'd like to thank everyone for their continued support and belief in me. I would like to see my company, Silver Chord Records, survive and see some profit eventually from my hard work. I would also like to remind people that physical CD sales is the best way to help out Silver Chord Records, and in turn, myself. Although I do get some income from digital downloads and of course still encourage that, I mostly benefit from actual CD sales. Just go to "The Morgan Store" tab on this site to purchase CDs or EPs. If you like my music, please tell your friends and direct them to my site or to iTunes. Also by adding one of my songs to your myspace page and sending out bulletins of yourself, you can also help me. I know several of you have done that already and I thank you very much for that.
